Botanic Garden Ghent University

In the light of the “Weekend of Biodiversity”, Botanic Garden Ghent University organizes on the 21th of May a BioBlitz. During a BioBlitz, all people with an interest in nature search for wild species of plants, fungi, birds, invertebrates and so much more. Together, with the help of specialists on site, we try to map as much biodiversity within our beloved Botanic Garden. Aside from this, there are all sorts of side-activities. Join a guided tour by one of our enthusiastic guides, or take part in the behind-the-scenes tour by our Hortulana Chantal Dugardin, or get informed about the flora of East-Flanders from 200 years ago by Katrijn Vannerum. Not in the mood to join a guided tour? No problem! You can take part in one of our workshops or listen to one of the readings going on. For the night owls among us, join us in the evening and discover the hidden world of moths!

Hope to see you there!
